The NTA authorities have also determined the NEET Cut Off 2025 for candidates, which can be checked through the department’s official website.

NEET Cut Off 2025

The NEET Exam was conducted on 4th May 2025, with results announced on 14th June 2025, ten days earlier than expected. This year marks a remarkable achievement, as 73 students scored above 650 out of 720 in NEET UG 2025. However, many candidates are still awaiting the release of the NEET 2025 cut-off to confirm their qualification status.

As we discussed earlier, the high scores secured by many candidates have intensified the competition for medical seats. Out of the more than 22 lakh students who appeared for the exam, only those meeting or exceeding the minimum cut-off will be eligible for admission to undergraduate medical courses such as MBBS and BDS.

Factors Determining NEET Cut Off 2025

Several factors influence the cut-off for the exam, and the authorities take these into account while determining it. One of the major factors influencing the NEET Cut Off 2025 is the total number of students who appeared for the exam.

Similarly, the number of available seats for MBBS and BDS courses at both national and state levels also plays a significant role. Additionally, the average marks scored by candidates in the exam are considered, helping the authorities set an appropriate cut-off.

NEET Cut Off Tie-Breaking Method

In NEET Cut Off 2025, tie-breaker rules also play a crucial role in determining candidates’ ranks.

  • If two candidates achieve the same score in Biology (Botany and Zoology), the one with a higher score in Physics will be given a higher rank.
  • Additionally, if a candidate has higher marks in each subject compared to another who holds the highest marks in Biology, they will secure a higher rank.
  • Candidates who achieve full marks in all subjects will get the top rank in the exam.
